Three prisoners executed in Shiraz Central Prison

The death sentences of three prisoners, identified as Peyman Eghbali, Afshin Dehghan, and Mehran Imani, were carried out in Adelabad Prison, Shiraz. All three had previously been convicted on charges related to drug offenses.

According to information received by Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, on Tuesday, August 12, 2025, Eghbali, 37, and Imani, 40, both from Jahrom in Fars Province, together with Dehghan, 31, from Shiraz, were executed in Adelabad Prison.

Eghbali and Imani had been arrested four years ago in a joint case on drug-related charges, while Dehghan was arrested five years ago in a separate case. All three were sentenced to death by the Iranian judiciary.

The executions have not been reported by state media, particularly those affiliated with the judiciary.
