Sanandaj teacher and former Women, Life, Freedom detainee Soheila Khaledian re-arrested

Soheila Khaledian, a teacher, civil activist, and former detainee of the Women, Life, Freedom (Jin, Jiyan, Azadi) movement in Sanandaj (Sine), has been re-arrested by security forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran and transferred to an undisclosed location.

According to information received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, on Saturday, August 2, 2025, Khaledian, a 58-year-old middle school teacher, was detained at her home in Sanandaj.

No precise information is available regarding the reasons for her arrest, her place of detention, or the charges brought against her.

Khaledian was previously arrested at her home by security forces on November 12, 2022, during the Women, Life, Freedom movement and was later released from prison.
