Shirvan – Kurdish cultural activists Azam Naseri and Hassan Seyfi detained by intelligence forces

Azam Naseri and Hassan Seyfi, two Kurdish cultural activists from Shirvan in North Khorasan Province, have been arrested by local intelligence forces.
According to reports received by Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, on Thursday, July 17, 2025, Naseri and Seyfi were detained by intelligence agents operating in Shirvan.
Both activists have been prominently engaged in cultural initiatives and have played a significant role in promoting the learning and teaching of the Kurdish language within the Kurdish community of Shirvan in recent years.
