Jafar Sadeghi executed in Rasht Central Prison

The death sentence of Jafar Sadeghi, a 35-year-old Gilak prisoner, was carried out in Rasht Central Prison (Lakan). He had been convicted of “premeditated murder.”

According to information received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, the execution took place at dawn on Saturday, August 16, 2025.

Sources confirmed that Jafar Sadeghi had been arrested four years ago on charges of “premeditated murder” and was later sentenced to death by the Iranian judiciary.

The news of his execution has not been announced by state media, particularly those affiliated with the judiciary.
