Execution of Mohammad Mirbaluchzehi brings number of Baloch prisoners executed in Iran to 100

Iranian authorities have executed Mohammad Mirbaluchzehi, a Baloch prisoner from Zahedan in Sistan and Baluchestan Province, at Manujan Central Prison in Kerman Province. He had been sentenced to death on drug-related charges.

According to information obtained by Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, the execution was carried out at dawn on Sunday, September 7, 2025. Mirbaluchzehi, aged 46, was married and the father of four children.

He was arrested ten years ago in Minab on drug charges and later sentenced to death by the Iranian judiciary. On Friday, prior to the execution, he was transferred to solitary confinement in Manujan Prison and allowed a final visit with his family.

State media, including outlets affiliated with the judiciary, have not published any information about his execution.

Data compiled by Hengaw shows that with the execution of Mohammad Mirbaluchzehi in Manujan Prison, the number of Baloch prisoners executed in Iran since the beginning of this year (a period of less than nine months) has reached 100.
