Execution of Ahmad Shamlu carried out in Hamedan Central Prison

Iranian authorities have executed a prisoner identified as Ahmad Shamlu in Hamedan Central Prison. He had previously been sentenced to death on drug-related charges.

According to information obtained by Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, the execution was carried out at dawn on Monday, September 8, 2025.

Sources confirmed that Shamlu had been arrested on drug-related charges and sentenced to death by the Iranian judiciary.

The execution has not been reported by state media, including outlets affiliated with the judiciary.
