Shirzad Ali Ramayi, a Kurdish martial arts athlete, was arrested on Thursday, September 11, 2025, by security forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Sanandaj (Sine) and taken to an undisclosed location.

According to information obtained by Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, Ramayi, 38, originally from the village of Naji in Zhaverud and a resident of Sanandaj, was detained at his home in the city.
