Six prisoners, including four Afghan nationals, executed in Taybad and Qazvin Prisons

The death sentences of Ershad Yarkhoda and three Afghan nationals — Faiz Mohammad Shokhnai, Khaled (surname unknown), and Khaleq (surname unknown) — were carried out in Taybad Prison. Additionally, Saadi Minaei and an Afghan prisoner identified as Mohammad Ebrahimi were executed in Qazvin Central Prison (Chubin Dar).
According to information received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, at dawn on Monday, October 20, 2025, the executions of Ershad Yarkhoda, a 38-year-old father of two from Taybad, along with Faiz Mohammad Shokhnai, Khaled, and Khaleq, all Afghan nationals, were carried out in Taybad Prison, Razavi Khorasan Province.
Yarkhoda had been imprisoned for four years, Khaleq for two years, and Shokhnai and Khaled for three years, all on drug-related charges. They were sentenced to death by the Iranian judiciary.
Likewise, at dawn on Sunday, October 19, 2025, the death sentences of Saadi Minaei, 39, from Qazvin, and Mohammad Ebrahimi, 31, from Herat, Afghanistan, were carried out in Qazvin Central Prison.
Minaei had been sentenced to death four years earlier on drug-related charges, while Ebrahimi had been sentenced three years ago on charges of premeditated murder.
According to informed sources, Ebrahimi’s execution was carried out in secret, without granting him the right to a final meeting with his family.
State media outlets, including those affiliated with the judiciary, have not reported these executions.
