Asghar Manafi executed at Hamedan Central Prison

The death sentence of Asghar Manafi, a Turkish prisoner from Mamahan village in Famenin County, Hamedan Province, was carried out at Hamedan Central Prison. He had previously been sentenced to death on drug-related charges.

According to information received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, the execution was carried out at dawn on Saturday, October 25, 2025.

Manafi, the father of one child, had earlier been arrested on drug-related charges and sentenced to death by the judiciary of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

The news of his execution has not been reported by Iranian state media, including outlets affiliated with the judiciary.
