The judiciary of the Islamic Republic of Iran has sentenced Keyvan Dehqani, a Baha’i adherent from Isfahan, to six years in prison, two years of internal exile, and a fine of 120 million tomans.
According to verified information obtained by Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, Branch 11 of the Revolutionary Court in Isfahan issued the verdict against Dehqani, also ordering the confiscation of his personal property and depriving him of all civil rights as supplementary punishment.
During a raid on his home, security forces seized mobile phones, laptops, cash, and gold items belonging to Dehqani, and destroyed family photo albums and personal photographs.
The case had previously been referred to both Branch 11 of the Revolutionary Court in Isfahan and the Special Court under Article 49 of the Constitution. Throughout the proceedings, Dehqani was placed under a trading ban and prohibited from leaving the country.
In recent months, he was repeatedly summoned and interrogated by the Ministry of Intelligence. Agents raided his home and workplace several times, confiscating electronic devices, personal documents, and Baha’i religious materials.
On Monday, July 7, 2025, Dehqani and his 19-year-old daughter, Lava Dehqani, were summoned to the Ministry of Intelligence office in Isfahan following multiple prior summonses. Upon arrival, they were separated and subjected to several hours of continuous interrogation.
