The number of prisoners executed in Shiraz Central Prison has risen to five, including one woman, following the confirmation of four additional cases: Kafieh Qobadzadeh, Sajad Shahriyari Golmakani, Touraj Rostami, and Nasir Babamohammadi, whose death sentences were carried out in the facility. The identity of one other prisoner had been verified earlier.
According to information obtained by Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, the death sentences of Qobadzadeh, 30, from Isfahan; Shahriyari Golmakani; Rostami, 27; and Babamohammadi, 34, from Marvdasht, were carried out at dawn on Wednesday, October 15, 2025, in Adelabad Prison in Shiraz.
Qobadzadeh had been imprisoned for seven years on charges of “murdering her husband,” while Shahriyari Golmakani had spent nine years in detention on charges of “murdering his wife.” Rostami and Babamohammadi were arrested three and four years ago, respectively, on “drug-related charges.” All four were sentenced to death by the judiciary of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
