Soran Yousefi jailed to serve four-year sentence

Soran Yousefi, a Kurdish man from Bukan, has been arrested and transferred to the city’s central prison to begin serving a four-year prison sentence.
According to information received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, Yousefi, 37, was arrested and taken to Bukan Central Prison on Tuesday, November 18, 2025. He is a resident of Salamat village in Bukan County.
Hengaw has learned that Branch 2 of the Bukan Revolutionary Court, presided over by Judge Fakhri, sentenced Yousefi to four years in prison on the charge of “propaganda against the Islamic Republic of Iran.”
Yousefi was previously arrested on Wednesday, December 4, 2024, during a security raid on his home, and was temporarily released on December 18, 2024, after posting 600 million tomans in bail.
