Abolfazl Hosseini dies by suicide in Malayer Prison

A prisoner identified as Abolfazl Hosseini has died by suicide in Malayer Prison, located in Iran’s Hamadan Province.

Based on information obtained by Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, Hosseini ended his life inside the prison on the evening of Tuesday, November 11, 2025.

According to informed sources, Hosseini took his own life by swallowing buprenorphine pills and died inside the facility.

He had previously been arrested on charges described as “fighting and physical altercation” and was transferred to Malayer Prison.
