Nariman Souri and Vihan Shah-Mohammadi executed in Kermanshah and Sanandaj prisons

The death sentences of two Kurdish prisoners, Nariman Souri and Vihan Shah-Mohammadi, previously convicted on drug-related and murder charges, have been carried out in the prisons of Kermanshah (Kermashan) and Sanandaj (Sine).

According to information received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, Souri was executed at dawn on Saturday, December 27, 2025, in Dizel-Abad Prison in Kermanshah.
Souri, a resident of Abdanan in Ilam Province, had been imprisoned for five years on drug-related charges.

On the same day, the execution of Vihan Shah-Mohammadi, a resident of Sanandaj, was carried out in Sanandaj Central Prison.
Shah-Mohammadi had been in custody for seven years following his conviction on murder charges by the Iranian judiciary.

Iranian state media, including outlets affiliated with the judiciary, have not reported these executions.
