Nirvana Torbati-Nejad sentenced to six months in prison

Nirvana Torbati-Nejad, a 19-year-old resident of Gorgan in Golestan Province, has been sentenced to six months in prison by the judiciary of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
According to information received by Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, Torbati-Nejad was sentenced to six months in prison by Branch 1 of the Revolutionary Court of Gorgan on the charge of “propaganda against the state”.
The verdict was formally communicated to the defence lawyer, Ramazan Haji Mashhadi, on Tuesday, November 25, 2025.
Torbati-Nejad had been summoned by the Intelligence Organization of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps on Saturday, November 1, 2025, and interrogated for several hours.
This person has previously been arrested and sentenced to imprisonment by the judiciary of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
