Gilak prisoners Farshid Jafarzadeh and Mehdi Rajabali Zadeh executed

Iranian authorities executed Farshid Jafarzadeh and Mehdi Rajabali Zadeh, two Gilak prisoners previously sentenced to death on the charge of “premeditated murder.”
According to information received by Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, Jafarzadeh, 32, from Gafsheh in the outskirts of Rasht, and Rajabali Zadeh, 36, from Haji Bekandeh village near Rasht, were executed at Lakan Prison after being transferred to solitary confinement in recent days for the implementation of their sentences. Their executions took place at dawn on Sunday, 7 December 2025.
The two men had been arrested and sentenced to death on the charge of “premeditated murder” by the judiciary of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
The executions have not been reported by state media or outlets affiliated with the judiciary.
