Shabnam Hosseinzadeh sentenced to five years in prison

The judiciary of the Islamic Republic of Iran has sentenced Shabnam Hosseinzadeh, the wife of political prisoner Amirhossein Mousavi who is held in Evin Prison in Tehran, to five years in prison.
According to information received by Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, Branch 15 of the Tehran Revolutionary Court sentenced Hosseinzadeh to five years in prison. Her lawyer, Reza Shafakhah, stated that the ruling was delivered to her orally in Branch 15 on December 8, 2025. He did not provide details about the charges brought against her.
Amirhossein Mousavi, the husband of Shabnam Hosseinzadeh, was arrested in December of last year by government forces and remains held in Evin Prison in a state of legal uncertainty.
