Four Kurds, including a 16-year-old minor, arrested in Oshnavieh

Iranian government forces have arrested four Kurdish residents of Oshnavieh (Shno), including a 16-year-old child, and transferred them to undisclosed locations.

According to information received by Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, Siraj Elyasi, 16, from the village of Hasanabad (Asnawi), a rural area of Oshnavieh, was arrested in the early hours of Sunday, December 14, 2025, without a warrant.

On the same day, Shaho Ebrahimi, from the village of Alkawi, also in Oshnavieh, was arrested without a warrant by agents of the Ministry of Intelligence and transferred to an undisclosed location. His brother, Shawaneh Ebrahimi, has also been in detention for approximately two weeks and remains held by government forces.

Later that evening, two other residents, Farhan Choopan, from the village of Sargiz, and Shafie Ahmadi, from the village of Balagir, both in Oshnavieh, were arrested by government forces without warrants and taken to unknown locations.

No official information has been provided regarding the reasons for the arrests, the charges against the detainees, or their places of detention.
