Death sentence of Mina Nasirpour carried out in Tabriz Central Prison

The death sentence of a Turkish female prisoner identified as Mina Nasirpour was carried out in Tabriz Central Prison. She had previously been sentenced to death on drug-related charges.
According to information received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, the execution was carried out at dawn on Monday, February 16, 2026. Mina Nasirpour, approximately 40 years old and originally from Ardabil, was put to death after being convicted in a drug-related case.
Sources state that she had been arrested about two years ago along with her husband, Hassan Sheikh-Hosseini, on drug-related charges, and both were sentenced to death in the same case.
Hengaw has learned that Hassan Sheikh-Hosseini, 47, was previously executed in the same prison on December 1, 2025.
Neither her execution nor that of her husband has been officially announced by state media, including outlets affiliated with the judiciary.
