Hassan Narouei, a Baloch prisoner, executed in Sarakhs Central Prison

The death sentence of Hassan Narouei, 27, a Baloch prisoner from Sarakhs County in Razavi Khorasan Province, was carried out in Sarakhs Central Prison. He had previously been sentenced to death on charges of “premeditated murder.”

According to information received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, the execution was carried out on Thursday, February 19, 2026.

Informed sources state that Narouei had been on death row for five years following his conviction on charges of premeditated murder. On Tuesday, February 17, 2026, he was transferred from Vakilabad Prison in Mashhad to Sarakhs Prison prior to the execution.

The execution has not been announced by state media, particularly outlets affiliated with Iran’s judiciary.
