Nine Kurds, including three children, arrested in Ilam

At least nine Kurdish individuals, including three children, have been arrested by Iranian government forces in the cities of Mormori, Asemanabad, Darreh Shahr, Abdanan, and Chavar in Ilam Province according to reports received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights.
The nine detainees, including three individuals under the age of 18, are being held in a state of uncertainty.
The details of these cases are as follows:
Abdanan
Mojtaba Mohammadvalli was arrested on Wednesday, February 18, 2026, and transferred to an undisclosed location. His case, opened during the “Woman, Life, Freedom” (Jin, Jiyan, Azadi) movement, remains ongoing.
Adib Nazari was arrested on Tuesday, February 17, 2026.
At the same time, Saman Soleimani, a young resident of Haft Cheshmeh village in Abdanan, was arrested by government forces.
Following the arrest of this child, clashes occurred between residents of Haft Cheshmeh village and security forces. Government forces fired live ammunition and tear gas to disperse the crowd and damaged several civilian vehicles.
Darreh Shahr
Two 15-year-old children, Hossein Maqsoudi and Amirali Lotfi, were arrested on Wednesday, February 18, 2026.
Reza Ferdowsmoghadam, 35, was arrested on Sunday, February 15, 2026, and transferred to an undisclosed location.
Chavar
Hamid Maleki, a 37-year-old resident of Arkvazi in Chavar, was arrested on Monday, February 16, 2026.
Asemanabad
Alireza Nazari, a 17-year-old child from Asemanabad in Chardavol County, was arrested on Wednesday, February 18, 2026.
Mormori
Ruhollah Sheikhi, 38, was arrested on January 18, 2026, and transferred to an undisclosed location.
