Five women and one 17-year-old child arrested by Iranian government forces

At least five women and one 17-year-old child have been arrested by Iranian government forces in Qazvin, Tehran, Karaj, Isfahan, and Rudsar. No reliable information is available regarding their current condition, whereabouts, or legal status.
According to information received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, Fatemeh Golmohammadi — a mother of two young children aged 2 and 9 — was arrested in Gohardasht, Karaj, on January 27, 2026, while returning from a school where she works as a transportation driver. Her husband, Jahangir Kazemi, had previously been arrested on January 4, 2026, in connection with protests in Karaj.
In Isfahan, 40-year-old Elaheh Shahmirzaei, a mother of two, was arrested by government forces on January 2, 2026, and transferred to Dastgerd (Dowlatabad) Prison in the city.
In Qazvin, 17-year-old Sarina Rezaei and her mother, Zahra Torkamani, were arrested by government forces during the December protests and transferred to Choobindar Prison. No further details have been released about their cases.
Bita Rahimi, a 22-year-old athlete from Tehran, was detained during January by intelligence forces in the Punak district of the capital. Her fate and place of detention remain unknown.
In a separate case, Setareh Shariati, a 26-year-old Gilak woman from Rudsar, was arrested by government forces during protests in the city and transferred to Lakan Prison in Rasht. Sources say she is active in yoga training and also works as a tattoo artist. No official information has been released regarding the charges against her.
