At least ten people, including one woman, arrested in multiple Iranian cities

At least ten people, including one woman, have been arrested amid ongoing security crackdowns in the cities of Tabriz, Ardabil, Isfahan, Rasht, Tehran, and Baghbahadoran, according to Hengaw Organization for Human Rights.
Among those arrested are three children—Sajad Darabi, Shervin Baqerian Jabali, and Borhan Sami Kia—as well as one woman, Somayeh Heydari. Further details are as follows:
Tabriz
Somayeh Heydari, a physics student at the University of Tabriz and a member of the editorial board of the Yol student publication, was arrested on Sunday, February 1, 2026.
Amirhossein Mohammadi, a 26-year-old third-semester student of Iranian painting at Tabriz University of Art, was arrested on Friday, January 23, 2026.
Another student, Sahand Taheri, has also been in detention since the previous week.
Reports indicate that government forces confiscated personal belongings belonging to Somayeh Heydari and Amirhossein Mohammadi during their arrests.
Isfahan and Baghbahadoran
Sajad Darabi, a 16-year-old student, was arrested on Friday, January 9, 2026, on a street in Isfahan.
Another student from the city, Shervin Baqerian Jabali, was arrested one day earlier on Thursday, January 8, 2026. Reports indicate that he faces a serious risk of a death sentence.
Separately, Rasoul Salehi was arrested in Baghbahadoran on Tuesday, January 6, 2026, and transferred to an undisclosed location.
Rasht
Bahador Momenizadeh, the brother of Mohammadrasoul Momenizadeh—one of those killed during the Woman, Life, Freedom movement in 2022—was arrested after government forces raided his home in Rasht on Monday, February 2, 2026.
Tehran
Borhan Sami-Kia, a 16-year-old child, was violently arrested on a street in Tehran on Thursday, January 8, 2026.
Mehdi Mansourian, a 40-year-old father of three, was also arrested on Saturday, January 24, 2026, in Tehran’s Falah neighborhood.
Ardabil
Ali Sanaei, a resident of Ardabil, was arrested by agents of the Intelligence Department during protests in the city’s Shariati Square on Thursday, January 8, 2026. His current whereabouts, legal status, and any charges against him remain unknown.
