Iranian forces kill Baloch motorcyclist Mehran Narouei in Golestan province

Mehran Narouei, a Baloch man from Azadshahr County in Golestan province, was killed after Iranian military forces opened fire on him. Reports indicate that after his motorcycle overturned, the forces approached and shot him again at close range.
According to a report received by Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, the incident took place on Sunday, May 17, 2026, in Azadshahr County, Golestan province. Narouei was a resident of Qareh Qach village.
Haalvsh, a media outlet covering news related to Balochistan, reported that Narouei was riding his personal motorcycle when military forces opened fire with live ammunition without issuing any warning or stop order. After the initial shooting caused the motorcycle to overturn, the forces reportedly approached him and fired additional shots at close range.
Authorities in Golestan province have not provided any explanation regarding the fatal shooting of the Baloch man.
