Hengaw – Thursday, May 28, 2026
Iranian authorities have arrested three Kurdish women in Bukan over the past several days, including two sisters identified as Homeyra Aminpour and Shler Aminpour, as well as Manizheh Khoshnoud. All three women were detained without any warrants.
According to information received by Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, agents of the Ministry of Intelligence violently raided the home of 50-year-old Homeyra Aminpour and her sister Shler Aminpour in Bukan on Wednesday, May 27, 2026, and arrested them. During the raid, security forces searched the house and confiscated several personal belongings belonging to the sisters.
In a separate incident a day earlier, Iranian security forces raided the family home of 58-year-old Manizheh Khoshnoud in Bukan and arrested her.
An informed source told Hengaw that Ministry of Intelligence agents entered the house without presenting any documents or legal authorization. Following Manizheh Khoshnoud’s arrest, the agents confiscated her electronic devices, including a laptop and mobile phone, along with several of her personal books.
Manizheh Khoshnoud had previously been arrested in 2024 and was later sentenced by Branch 101 of the Bukan Criminal Court to 10 months in prison on charges of “propaganda against the state.”
Nearly two days after the arrests, repeated efforts by the families to obtain information from security institutions and judicial authorities in Bukan regarding the women’s whereabouts, health conditions, and the charges against them have remained unsuccessful.
