Iranian authorities have executed at least four prisoners, including two brothers and a Baloch man, at Isfahan Central Prison after convicting them of “premeditated murder.”

Based on information received by Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, the executions were carried out at dawn on Sunday, May 3, 2026, at Isfahan Central Prison (Dastgerd). Among those executed were two brothers and one prisoner with a physical disability.

The identities of the executed prisoners have been confirmed as follows:

  • Peyman Mohammadi, 37, and his brother Mohammadreza Mohammadi, 41, who were arrested around four years ago on charges of killing an individual identified as Fakhr al-Din and were later sentenced to death by the judiciary.
  • Abbas Rahimi-Azar, 29, from Isfahan, who was arrested approximately three years ago in connection with a killing described by authorities as having so-called “honor-related” motives and was sentenced to qisas (retribution in kind).
  • Mehdi Badfar, 33, a Baloch man from Chabahar, who worked as a farmer and had been in detention for five years on a murder charge. He had a physical disability, having previously lost three fingers of his left hand in a threshing machine accident.
