Hengaw – Monday, May 11, 2026
Mostafa Ettehadi, a 31-year-old man from Sabzevar, has been transferred in recent days from Bandar Abbas Prison to Torbat-e Heydarieh Prison after 72 days of detention. He remains in legal limbo without temporary release.
According to information received by Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, Ettehadi was transferred from Bandar Abbas Prison to Torbat-e Heydarieh Prison late last week. Despite repeated efforts by his family, authorities have continued to block his temporary release on bail.
Security forces arrested Ettehadi on Saturday, February 28, 2026, on Qeshm Island. He was initially transferred to Bandar Abbas Prison following his arrest.
More than two months after his detention, authorities have yet to disclose the reasons for his arrest, the agency responsible for detaining him, or any charges brought against him.
