Iran executes three prisoners, including a Baloch father of six

Iranian authorities have executed three prisoners, including a Baloch father of six, who had been sentenced to death on charges of “drug-related offenses” and “premeditated murder.” The executions were carried out in Adelabad Prison in Shiraz, Qom Central Prison, and Neyshabur Prison.

According to information received by Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, the execution of Mohammad Sediq Balouchi (Kabdani), known as Abdulvahid, a 53-year-old Baloch man from Zahedan and father of six, was carried out in the early hours of Sunday, May 31, 2026, at Adelabad Prison in Shiraz.

Haalvsh reported that Balouchi was arrested in 2016 on charges related to “drug-related offenses” and was later sentenced to death by the Iranian judiciary. His execution was carried out without prior notice to his family and without being granted a final visit.

Separately, in the early hours of Sunday, May 25, 2026, Behnam Hasanian, a 36-year-old man from Saveh, was executed at Qom Central Prison. He had been arrested approximately two years earlier on charges related to “drug-related offenses” and was subsequently sentenced to death.

In addition, Mohammad Hakimi, a 33-year-old man from Neyshabur, was executed at Neyshabur Prison in the early hours of Tuesday, March 18, 2026. He had been arrested about four years earlier on charges of “premeditated murder” and was later sentenced to death.

The executions of these three prisoners have not been announced by Iranian state media or by media outlets affiliated with the judiciary.
