Kurdish and Turkish prisoners among three executed in Shirvan and Mashhad

Iranian authorities have executed three people in Shirvan and Mashhad prisons in recent days, including a Kurdish prisoner and a Turkish inmate.
According to information received by Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, Fereydoun Varasteh, a 40-year-old Turkish man from Shirvan and the father of a six-year-old daughter, was executed in the early hours of Wednesday, June 17, 2026, at Shirvan Central Prison. He had been arrested two years earlier on charges of “premeditated murder” and was later sentenced to death.
Nasrollah Khodadadi, a 36-year-old Kurdish man from Shirvan, was executed at the same prison on Sunday, June 14, after being convicted of “premeditated murder.” He had been arrested three years earlier and was subsequently sentenced to death.
Hengaw previously reported that another Kurdish man, Amin Rajabian, was executed at Shirvan Central Prison on the same day after being convicted of “premeditated murder.”
In a separate case, Mohammad Ebrahimi, a resident of Mashhad, was executed in the early hours of Thursday, May 28, 2026, at Mashhad Central Prison. He had been arrested four years earlier on charges related to “drug offenses” and was later sentenced to death.
None of these executions were announced by Iranian state media or outlets affiliated with the Iranian Judiciary.
