Nahid Kasnazani violently arrested by Iranian security forces in Saqqez

Iranian security forces arrested Nahid Kasnazani, a 48-year-old Kurdish woman from Kasnazan village in Saqqez, using violence during a security operation in the village. She was taken to an undisclosed location.
According to information received by Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, Kasnazani was arrested on Tuesday, September 1, 2026, after security forces completely surrounded the village and established a heavy security presence. Her fate and whereabouts remain unknown.
Informed sources told Hengaw that the forces carried out the arrest without presenting a warrant.
During the operation, security forces also threatened and pressured Kasnazani’s family, forcing them to hand over her mobile phone and other personal belongings.
Authorities have not disclosed the reason for Kasnazani’s arrest, any charges against her, the agency responsible for her detention, or her exact place of detention. The lack of information about her health and well-being has caused concern among her family.
