Iranian authorities executed two Kurdish prisoners in Urmia

Hengaw: Two Iranian Kurdish prisoners were executed on Saturday, August 5th, by the Iranian authorities in Urmia city of West Azerbaijan province in northwest of Iran.
Local sources informed Hengaw agency for human rights that Said Pour Hormzi from Naghadeh, and Hussein Shaheeni from Kosi village in Urmia were executed on Saturday in Darya Prison in the city.
The two Kurdish citizens have been sentenced to death by the Iranian judiciary on charges of drug offenses.
According to the statistics recorded by Hengaw, 80 Iranian Kurdish prisoners have been executed since the beginning of 2017.
