Hengaw: At least seventeen political prisoners are being held at the Oshnavieh Central Prison, that the news of the arrest and penalty of seven of them has not yet been published in any media.
According to the Hengaw Human Rights Organization, Seventeen Kurdish political prisoners are currently being held at the Oshnavieh Central Prison, where they have been sentenced to a total of eighty-one years and six months in prison.
The Hengaw has previously reported on ten of these prisoners and the news of the arrest or conviction of seven of them is the first time to be published, and the news about them has not been made public yet.
Of those 17 political prisoners, 15 have been convicted of collaborating with the Democratic Party of Iranian Kurdistan (PDKI), one Kurdish citizen has been convicted of collaborating with the Kurdistan Freedom Party (PAK), and one has been sentenced to the prison for labour activities.
