Urmia — Death of a kurdish prisoner due to delay in being transferred to the medical center

 Hengaw : A prisoner in the youth ward of Urmia’s Central Prison lost his life due to  delay in being transferred to the medical center.

 According to a report received by the Hengaw Human Rights Organization, on Wednesday, November 11, 2020, a prisoner in the youth ward of Urmia’s Central Prison, identified as Sadegh Barmaki, died due to delay in being transferred to the medical Centers out of  prison . 

 According to an informed source from Urmia’s Prison, Sadegh Barmaki swallowed  Methamphetamine ( a kind narcotic) on Saturday ,November 7, 2020 in fear of being accused of more crimes ,  during the inspection of the youth ward by the prison’s guards. 
 The source further stated that after being informed of this action, the prison security officers transferred Sadegh Barmaki to the prison’s quarantine and in the past few days, despite his serious condition, prevented him from being transferred to medical centers for gastric lavage which led to his death.
