Hengaw : at least 22 Kurdish citizens were arrested by the security forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran on charges of political, civil and ideological activities.
According to statistics recorded in Statistics and Documentation Data Center of Hengaw Human Rights Organization , during February 2021, at least 22 Kurdish citizens were arrested by the Iranian government's security agencies on charges of political, civil and ideological activity.
According to the report, 20 citizens were arrested on charges of political activity and cooperation with Kurdish parties, one on charges of civic activity and one on charges of ideological and religious activity.
Most of the arrested citizens were in West Azerbaijan ( Urmia) Province with 12 cases ,
9 in Kurdistan province and one in Kermanshah province.
Also one of the detainees of last month was a university student.
Also, 3 detainees were transferred to Naghadeh and Urmia prisons to serve their sentences.
