May 17 is declared as International Day Against Homophobia, Transphobia and Biphobia.  Following the decision of the World Health Organization to remove homosexuality from the list of mental illnesses  in 1990, this day was declared as “International Day Against Homophobia, Transphobia and Biphobia “ and is celebrated every year in many countries.

The purpose of naming this day is to raise awareness about the rights of the LGBTQIA community and to try to eliminate discrimination against these people.

Celebrating such a day indicates that many people have worked over the years to stop the repression of the LGBTQIA society.

While condemning the systematic violence against these individuals in Iran, Hengaw Human Rights Organization supports the rights of the six-color society.
