Baloch woman Lali Bamari dies from injuries sustained in IRGC attack

Lali Bamari, a 40-year-old Baloch woman, died from severe injuries sustained during a military assault by Islamic Republic forces on the village of Goonich, located in Khash County, Sistan and Baluchestan Province. She passed away at Khomeini Hospital in Khash, four days after being admitted to the intensive care unit. The attack also resulted in the death of another woman and left ten other women and girls injured.
According to information received by Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, the incident occurred on Tuesday, July 1, 2025, when military and intelligence units of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) launched an early-morning raid on the village. Lali Bamari was critically wounded after being shot directly by IRGC forces and later succumbed to her injuries on Friday, July 4, 2025.
Of the eleven women injured in the attack, Lali Bamari and 18-year-old Asra Bamari were admitted to the intensive care unit at Khomeini Hospital in Khash.
During the raid, another Baloch woman identified as Khan-Bibi Bamari was also killed by direct fire, and a total of eleven women, including two girls under the age of 18, were wounded.
Hengaw had previously published the identities of the injured women, who are:
Madineh Bamari (24), Saba Bamari (17), Asra Bamari (18), Rahm-Bibi Bamari (32), Senj-Malek Bamari (45), Asal Bamari (20), Mohaddeseh Bamari (16), Mahtab Bamari (50), Fatemeh Bamari (26), Reyhaneh Bamari (21), and Lali Bamari (40), who later died from her injuries.
The operation, which lasted from 5 a.m. to 10 a.m., was conducted under the pretext of apprehending “armed opposition elements.” The village was completely surrounded by dozens of military vehicles, and all entry and exit routes were sealed off. However, according to local residents, no armed individuals were present in the area at the time of the assault.
