Seven citizens have been detained in Mahabad in two days

Hengaw: at least 7 citizens from Mahabad have been arrested by the security forces of this city.

According to a report received by Hengaw Human Rights Organization, on Monday, August 2, 2021, a citizen from the village of “Khorkhoreh” in the Mahabad district, identified as "Diar Soleimanpour", was arrested by intelligence forces and taken to an unknown location.

On Sunday, August 1, Mahabad Intelligence Service arrested two cousins, Soran Durbash and Ako Durbash. According to a Hengaw sources, The security forces severely beat their wives and their mothers.
At the same time, another citizen from the village of Khorkhoreh, identified as "Kaveh Soleimanopour", was detained by the Mahabad Intelligence Service.

Yesterday, Hengaw also announced the arrest of three citizens from the village of "Agriqash" in Mahabad, namely "Heyman Gharadaghi", "Ahad Soneh" and "Rozgar Einaloo".

According to the same source, the arrests of the seven citizens were violent and all of them were arrested on charges of collaborating with one of the Kurdish opposition parties in the government.
