Hengaw: The Kurdish citizen Golaleh Moradi from Piranshahr is still in custody. No information is available about the condition of the prisoner who has been detained for more than seven months.
According to the report received by Human Rights Organization Hengaw, the Kurdish prisoner Golaleh Moradi is still missing. The Kurdish citizen is imprisoned in the women's prison in Urmia, West Azerbaijan Province, and is denied legal assistance and contact with her family.
According to an informed source, Golaleh Moradi has been tortured and blackmailed several times by officials from the Ettelaat (Iranian intelligence service) since she was arrested. The officers threatened her that her two sons, who were captured with her but subsequently released, would face serious charges if she did not obey their will and orders.
Golaleh Moradi was arrested by the Ettelaat in connection with the incident on April 17, 2021 after a member of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard cadre was killed in Piranshahr and was locked in solitary confinement in Urmia for 35 days. She was then transferred to the city's women's prison.
