Fereydoun Zakeri Nasab, a religious prisoner from Sarpol-e Zahab who had previously been sentenced to death by the Judiciary of the Islamic Republic of Iran, has been on a hunger strike since Saturday, May 14, in Rajai Shahr Prison of Karaj. 
 
According to an informed source, Fereydoun Zakeri Nasab is today on the sixth day of his hunger strike to protest the process of his case. 
 
Hengaw had previously reported that Fereydoun Zakeri Nasab, 33, who has a Master's degree in Business Administration and is a Kung Fu instructor in Kermanshah province, was arrested by security forces in the summer of 2017 during mass arrests of citizens after an attack on the parliament building. 
 
Fereydoun Zakeri Nasab was sentenced to death on charges of "Corruption on Earth"  
on February 24, 2019, by Branch 15 of the Revolutionary Court of Tehran, headed by Judge Abol Ghasem Salavati. 
 
The verdict was later canceled by the Supreme Court, and his case is currently pending as a "Cooperation in Moharebeh."
