Security forces detained Payam Miri, Sahar Wahabi, and Wida Mohammadnejad, three family members of Waran Mohammadnejad, a student from Sanandaj who had been detained.
According to Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, three family members of Waran Mohammadnejad, an active member of the Nozhin Social Cultural Association, and a student, were arrested on October 16, 2022, while following her fate in front of the IRGC Intelligence Detention Center (Shahramfar) by security forces.
Payam Miri, Waran's husband, Sahar Wahabi, Waran's mother, and Wida Mohammadnejad, Waran's sister, have all been arrested by security forces, and their whereabouts are unknown.
Waran M. Nezhad, a student from Sanandaj and an active member of the Nozhin Association, has been on a hunger strike since her arrest, against the manner of her arrest and the violence by repressive forces.
Ms. Waran is an art student at Yazid University and she was detained and transferred to the IRGC's Shahramfar Detention Center at dusk on Thursday, October 13, 2022 in Sanandaj.
According to one of Mohammadnejad's relatives, "Waran only replies to the interrogators in Kurdish and so far she has not agreed to answer them in Persian, and as a result, the pressure on her has risen."
