Following public protests in the Abdanan district of Ilam province, at least 15 citizens were injured due to direct fire from the Iranian security forces and several were arrested.
According to the report received by the Hengaw human rights organization, during the popular protests in Abdanan city on Monday evening, October 17, 2022, at least 15 protestors were arrested with shotguns by the Iranian security forces, and a number of them were also arrested. The identity of 3 arrested protestors named, Ahmad Alizadeh, 38-year-old Saeed Rahmati, and 32-year-old Hassan Lala Zari have been approved for Hengaw.
So far, there is no accurate information about the fate and whereabouts of the arrested people, who were mainly arrested in the early hours of this morning after the security forces raided their homes.
