More than two weeks since the kidnapping of Masoumeh Hejbari, a 31-year-old female Kurdish activist from Piranshahr, West Azerbaijan (Urmia) province by Iranian security forces, so far there is no information about her fate or the institution that arrested her.
According to the report received by the Hengaw human rights organization, during the last two weeks, the family and husband of Mrs. Hejbari have repeatedly referred to the Iranian intelligence Department in Piranshahr and Urmia, but they have not been able to receive any answer on the fate of this female activist.
On Friday, October 7, 2022, Masoumeh Hejbari was attacked and violently abducted by the Iranian security forces at her home.
Hengaw has been informed that Masoumeh Hejbari was abducted following her presence in one of the main squares in the city with a placard in support of women's demands and protest against the murder of Zhina (Mahsa) Amini by the Iranian morality police in Tehran.
Maesuma Hajbari, a Piranshahr-based activist, was abducted after raising a placard at one of Piranshahar city's main squares in support of women's rights and in protest of Zhina Amini's state murder.
