A citizen from Kamiyaran city, named Burhan Karami, was shot three times by the government forces during the gathering in front of the house of Fuad Mohammadi, one of the fatalities of the Tuesday uprisings in Kurdistan.
Burhan Karami, a 30-year-old citizen of Kamiyaran, was killed on Wednesday, November 16, 2022, after being shot in the head and neck by three bullets fired by IRI repressive forces on this city's Zarneh Street, according to the information received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights.
He was shot and killed during protests in front of the home of Fuad Mohammadi, another Kamiyaran resident who had been murdered by government forces the day before. IRI forces attacked the people who had gathered outside Fuad's home in solidarity with his family.
According to one of the Karami family's relatives, Burhan's funeral was held in his hometown on Wednesday evening in the presence of a sizable crowd despite the pressure from the repressive forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran to bury Burhan's body in secret without the public's knowledge.
Burhan was born in the Chersaneh village of Kamiyaran; he was married and had one child.
