From the abduction of his family members to the threat to assassinate a poet by IRI authorities
Hengaw: December 6, 2022
The Iranian authorities have threatened to assassinate the poet Hossein Bagheri (Jakan Baran). In addition, Hassan Bagheri and Fariba Bagheri, his brother and sister, were abducted by government authorities in Malekshahi, Ilam.
The government forces in Malekshahi abducted Hassan Bagheri, 38, and his sister Fariba Bagheri, 35, and held them as hostages in return for their brother Hossein Bagheri's silence regarding the ongoing public uprisings, according to a report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights.
Due to what they described as a "strike to the economics of Bazarians," the government institutions have threatened the poet and author Hossein Bagheri and his family.
Hassan and Fariba Bagheri have been threatened with losing their citizenship by government authorities. It should be mentioned that Fariba Bagheri, who had been detained for several hours on Tuesday, was eventually released that evening.
There is a threat to the life of Jakan Baran, a Kurdish poet who has been forced to leave Iran for the past few years and resides abroad due to government pressures and continuous arrests.
