The life of Sarko Mohammadzadeh, who was kidnapped after being injured, is in danger

An athlete from Sanandaj named Sarko Mohammadzadeh was shot by Iranian government forces and then arrested; as a result, his condition is now in danger.

Sarko Mohammadzadeh, an athlete from Sanandaj, was shot by Iranian government troops in direct fire on Wednesday, December 14, 2022, during a symbolic protest action at the city's Azadi Square, according to a report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights. He was then assaulted. Additionally, he was detained by IRGC intelligence agents.

In a video posted by Hengaw on Twitter, this individual expressed his protest against the execution and killing of protestors by government forces by painting the statue of Azadi in Sanandaj's Azadi Square red.

Despite Mohammadzadeh's family and relatives' follow-ups at hospitals and government institutions, there is still no information on his whereabouts.

Sarko Mohammadzadeh has been active in Muay Thai martial arts and has won various titles in domestic competitions.
