Two Kurdish citizens from Bukan, named Hawram Mehrnavaie and Mohsen Rasulzadeh, were kidnapped by Iranian government forces in early December and taken to an unknown location.

According to a report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, efforts to determine the fate and whereabouts of 20-year-old Hawram Mehrnavaie and 37-year-old Mohsen Rasulzadeh from the Bukan after they were kidnapped by Iranian government forces have been futile due to a lack of response from Iranian government institutions.

According to what Hengaw has obtained, Mohsen Rasulzadeh is the husband of Hawram Mehrnavaie’s aunt, and both were kidnapped at the same time.

These two citizens were abducted by Iranian government forces on Friday, December 2, 2022, in Bukan, and their whereabouts are still unknown.

Also, Hawram Mehranvaie and Mohsen Rasulzadeh have been deprived of meeting, making contact, and accessing basic rights such as consultation with a lawyer.
