In less than ten days, the seventh Kurdish citizen was executed

With the execution of a Kurdish citizen from Urmia named Peyman Arab on charges of drug-related crimes in Karaj Central Prison, the number of Kurdish citizens who have been executed in Iran in less than 10 days has reached 7.

According to the report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, at dawn on Tuesday, January 10, 2023, the death sentence of Peyman Arab, a Kurdish citizen from Urmia, was carried out in the central prison of Karaj.

According to a reliable source, Peyman Arab of Gechehvillage in Urmia's Soma Broadost region was arrested three years ago and sentenced to death by an Iranian court for drug-related offenses.

Based on the statistics registered in the Statistics and Documents Center of the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, during the first 10 days of 2023, at least 7 Kurdish prisoners were executed in Karaj, Bandar Abbas, and Kermanshah prisons.
