Naser Zomordi arrested by intelligence forces in Ilam

Hengaw – Tuesday, July 8, 2025 

Naser Zomordi, a 38-year-old Kurdish man from Ilam, was arrested last week by the Intelligence Department of the Islamic Republic of Iran. His detention order has since been extended for two months. 

According to information received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, intelligence agents arrested Zomordi on Tuesday, July 1, 2025. 
 
He has been charged with “insulting Islamic sanctities,” “spreading false information,” “insulting Ali Khamenei,” and “propaganda against the Islamic Republic of Iran.” 
Following the referral of his case to Branch 7 of the Public and Revolutionary Prosecutor’s Office in Ilam, his detention order was formally extended for an additional two months.
