A doctor from Naghadeh was arrested by Iranian security forces

Dr. Amir Mashufi, a general practitioner from Naghadeh, was abducted by Iranian government forces with the help of security officers from the city's Khomeini hospital.

According to a report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, on Wednesday, January 11, 2023, Dr. Amir Mashufi, a general practitioner working at Khomeini Hospital in Naghadeh, was abducted by Iranian government forces and brought to an unknown location.

According to eyewitnesses, security personnel at the Khomeini Hospital, including Ibrahim Zarei, who was responsible for the security of the hospital where he worked, played a key role in the kidnapping of this doctor.

One of the personnel of the said hospital told Hengaw: "Dr. Amir Mashufi was beaten by the government forces while he was kidnapped."

So far, no detailed information has been made available about the health status and whereabouts of this citizen.
