During an armed conflict that took place in Bukan between the IRGC forces and an unknown armed group, at least 4 members of the IRGC were killed and wounded.
According to a report received by the Hengaw organization for Human Rights, an armed conflict occurred on Saturday, January 21, 2023, around one o'clock in the morning, between IRGC forces and an unknown armed group near the Nachit village of Bukan.
According to Hengaw’s sources, at least one Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps member was killed during this conflict. Three others were seriously injured and taken to Qolipour hospital in Bukan.
An informed source told Hengaw: "The killed IRGC member was transferred to Miandoab city, and three others who were seriously injured were transferred to Urmia medical centers due to their deteriorating physical condition."
As of this report, no party or group has accepted responsibility for this conflict, and government media have not reported anything about it.
